International Training Programme on SME “Cluster Development Executives (CDEs)” - with Fellowship Support (January 09 - February 17, 2017)

Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, India is announcing the International Training Programme on “Cluster Development Executives (CDEs)” scheduled during January 09 - February 17, 2017. This training programme will be conducted by EDII, a premier International Institute focusing on education, research and training on Entrepreneurship and SME Clusters. The objective of this programme is to train participants from various countries on different facets of small and medium enterprises (SME) cluster development so that they can significantly contribute in development of SME clusters in their respective countries and thus facilitate local economic development (LED).

This 6 weeks international training programmes (comprising 4 weeks of Classroom inputs & 2 weeks of Study Tour) is completely sponsored by the ITEC Division of the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India targeting participants from 161 countries (142 ITEC countries and 19 SCAAP countries) located in Asia, East Europe, Central Asia, Africa & Latin America. The fellowships will cover the following;

·   Tuition Fee

·   Air-Conditioned accommodation on single-occupancy basis

·   Living Allowance  (Food Expenses + Out-of-Pocket Allowance)

·   Book Allowance (in the form of Course Material, Cases, CDs, etc.)

·  Air Travel (Economy class) to Ahmedabad, India  from your country and back by the shortest route

You have to submit your application directly to the Indian High Commission/Indian Embassy in your country and not to us. For this purpose, after filling up the application/ nomination form on-line, please take a print-out and get it endorsed by the Nodal Ministry (for information about the Nodal Ministry, pls. contact Indian Mission in your country) and thereafter, submit it along with photocopies of relevant documents (hardcopies of educational testimonials, English Proficiency Declaration duly signed by you and Medical Report duly endorsed by a Registered Physician) to the Indian Mission for their endorsement. After this procedure, your application will reach ITEC office, New Delhi, India, for their approval. While submitting application form on-line, an Applicant does not have to attach any documents except entering the required information asked for. 

Pls. remember that the Nodal Ministry is different from Embassy of India.  In each country, a specific Ministry has been identified as a nodal ministry to endorse the ITEC nomination form.  It could be Ministry of Industry & Commerce or Ministry of Education & Cultural Affairs so on and so forth.  You may have to check up this aspect with the Indian Mission in your country.

You may please send scanned version of the print-out of on–line application duly endorsed by the Nodal Ministry along with scanned copies of educational testimonials, English Proficiency Declaration duly signed by you and Medical Report duly endorsed by a Registered Physician to the Indian Mission at their e-mail id which can be obtained from the website of Indian Mission in your country.

People in the age group of 25-45 years can participate in the programme. 

Since it is a Govt. of India sponsored training programme, there is no need of having any invitation letter from us for your visa application.

The last date for submitting application form to the Indian Mission is 9thNovember 2016. Since there are limited seats, interested persons are requested to submit their application at the earliest.
