Description

The launch event of the Pact for Skills will take place on 10 November 2020 (18.00-19.15 CET). It will be an online event.

The Pact for Skills, one of the actions under the European Skills Agenda, aims to mobilise and encourage all relevant stakeholders to take concrete actions for the upskilling and reskilling of people of working age, and, when relevant, cooperate through partnerships.

On 10 November European Commission Vice-President and European Commissioner for Protecting our European Way of Life, Margaritis Shinas; Nicolas Schmit, Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights; and Thierry Breton, Commissioner for the Internal Market, will take part in the online launch event of the Pact.

There, with high-level representatives of industry, social partners and other relevant stakeholders, they will discuss the importance of upskilling and reskilling for Europe and all people of working age.

The event is organised as part of the European Vocational Skills Week 2020 and is open to anyone who is interested in the Pact for Skills and ensuring that all people of working age have access to quality upskilling and reskilling.
