Description

With employers across Europe finding it difficult to recruit people with basic digital skills the European Union has a strong focus on leveraging and fast-tracking best practices in education and upskilling and ensuring mobility to plug these key skills gaps.

The COVID-19 crisis has accelerated the transition of smaller businesses to digitalisation, and with it certain deficiencies have been revealed.

Digital illiteracy has long been a key challenge within the SME ecosystem, one that now calls more than ever for urgent solutions.

This European Small Business Alliance (ESBA) webinar aims to accelerate the work of private and public sector actors to find solutions to reduce the digital skills gap in Europe and equip SMEs with the necessary skills, tools and knowledge to become frontrunners in the process of digitalisation, as this represents a key step in ensuring the recovery of the European economy and keeping European SMEs afloat.

Expert speakers include Member of the European parliament Henna Virkkunen and Silvia Merisio, of the Digital Economy & Skills Unit, DG CONNECT, at the European Commission.

The programme for the webinar can be found here and to attend secretariat [at] esba-europe.org (contact the ESBA).
