The key objectives of the event is that the participants, by getting to know each other's successes, are able to provide effective response via forming new regional innovation oriented cooperation to the economic challenges of the Visegrad regions. According to the innovation ranking of EU countries the Visegrad countries are under-performing compared to the EU average, and the share of regional innovative businesses in H2020's cooperation is also lower than it is in the other EU regions. The short keynote presentation will be followed by panel discussion, where the participants examine the impact of the civil and business sectors cooperation to the regional competitiveness and improvements. Parallel, the other afternoon program is already in Hungarian, and focusing on development of innovative partnerships between companies from the manufacturing and IT sectors. The importance of this matchmaking event is the fact that the rate of the mechanical engineering sector in the overall GDP is approx. 35% and the exports is 57%, and the production is the highest in our Central Trans-danubian region in Hungary; in the same time, further innovation oriented developments, ICT supported manufacturing processes may present further opportunities for both sectors related to the digital transformation.
