The Smart Specialisation Platform and the Directorates-General for Regional & Urban Policy, Research & Innovation and Agriculture & Rural Development are launching an invitaton to the Info-Day of their new and exciting initiative "Smart Specialisation Platform for Agri-Food'' which will assist regions and member states in their efforts to further develop existing value chains and create new ones through the interconnection of regional innovation eco-systems and their innovation actors in specific investment areas for smart specialisation.
The event, which will take place in Brussels on 12th May 2016, is open to regional and national authorities responsible for implementing innovation support in the domain of agri-food in the framework of innovation strategies for smart specialisation and other involved and interested organisations. The new European Agri-Food Platform will be discussed to jointly align priorities, investment efforts and innovation support activities in this area.
