The automotive industry is one of those who suffered the most during the crisis caused by the SARS-Cov2 virus, especially in southern Poland which is the heart of the automotive industry. Since mid-March, most companies have stopped production, the main reason is broken supply chains, it was simply impossible to manufacture the car, so car factories were stopped and this resulted the whole group of manufacturers of parts and components has stopped production as well. In order to save, the automotive industry must start production as soon as possible. The production of engines at the OPEL factory started a few days ago, and in a few days maybe the FCA (FIAT) and OPEL car factory in Gliwice may start. It is also very important to stimulate demand for new cars so that the industry can return to full production capacity as soon as possible. What is the situation in your countries in automotive industry?

Dear Lukas,

next Tuesday, 2 June, the European Alliance Against Coronavirus will look at the situation in the mobility/automotive ecosystem: https://www.clustercollaboration.eu/forum/european-alliance-against-coronavirus-daily-meetings/european-alliance

You are welcome to participate!

In the session "Concrete plans to go back to work", the EAAC invited Juan Abad from the company Dana as an expert. He talked about security measures in his factory. It might be worth listening to what he says: https://www.clustercollaboration.eu/forum/european-alliance-against-coronavirus-daily-meetings/concrete-plans-go
