Global Economic Impact of Covid 19

UNIDO has published a study on the global economic impact of covid 19.

Global GDP shrinkage vary between -8.8% (WTO) and -1% (UNDESA). 

Global Trade and Investment will be reduced by ranges between -32% (WTO) and -9% (IMF). 

The expected increase in the share of people living in extreme poverty will range from 0.8 per cent to 1.5 percentage points. This is equivalent to an increase of between 50 million to 70 million people compared with the original estimates for 2020.
