In Slovakia, the members of Košice IT Valley Cluster together with representatives of other companies in the east of Slovakia have established the initiative “IT pomáha” (IT helps) with aim to help local health and social care facilities to overcome the coronavirus pandemic of COVID-19.

The financial help will be used to purchase the necessary protection material with the following priority:

1. For the hospitals in Košice city and in the region
2. For emergency medical services
3. For socially disadvantaged groups

In addition, the initiative aims to help to find home 3D printers, who can help with printing protective shields for hospital facilities in eastern Slovakia within the project pomoznemocnici.sk in cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Technical University of Košice.
