First electric tanker

Covid 19 will accelerate the transfromation of world's economies as innovation will be the main driving force out of the economic crisis. Enterprises and economies must become  more sustainable and green.

In that context, the launching of the first electric tanker equipped with Lithium Ion batteries is a piece of news worth being noticed. The vessel is a pure battery tanker powered by large-capacity lithium-batteries and is scheduled to enter Tokyo Bay as a marine fuel supply vessel. Completely electrifying the ship's core energy system will be a move towards achieving zero emissions of CO2 (carbon dioxide), NOx (nitrogen oxide), SOx (sulfur oxide), smoke, etc.
