The Innovation in SMEs programme (INNOSUP) was launched in 2014 under the Horizon 2020 programme and was deployed until 2024. Through the H2020-INNOSUP-1 action (“Cluster facilitated projects for new industrial value chains”), 130 M euros were distributed to 29 projects launched gradually over the last years.
INNOSUP-1 projects aimed at developing new industrial value chains, by fostering the collaboration & integration of different innovation actors (especially SMEs), from different sectors and regions, contributing to the development of emerging industries.
The budgets of INNOSUP-1 projects ranged from 3.3 M euros to 5.54 M euros. Each project had to allocate at least 75% of its total budget to support innovation in SMEs directly, through direct financial support and a mix of different targeted entrepreneurial and innovation support measures.
By emphasizing on bringing SME clusters together and creating a synergy between different industrial and technical European actors, INNOSUP-01 made a difference and allowed innovation to reach a new scale.
This report contains factsheets for each of the 29 projects supported. Whilst each factsheet gives an overview of the key features of a project, focus is made on the Financial Support to Third Parties provided by each of the 29 partnerships.
Please note that for the oldest projects, from the 2015 and 2016 calls, only key outcomes are provided.
*This report is an update of the first version of May 2022.
