The Catalan Water Partnership (CWP) organized a mission in Colombia between May 27 and 30, aimed to promote cooperation with different clusters in Colombia through the Red Cluster (Colombian Cluster Network), the Colombian Private Council on Competitiveness (Consejo Privado de Competitividad), and the National Business Association of Colombia (ANDI).

In the mission participated seven companies and a university that are part of the CWP, and eight clusters’ managers from Colombia to create potential partnerships between participants. The meetings were held in Bogotá and Cartagena de Indias, in which the CWP members got to know two of the most important regional clusters in the country and to promote possible inter-cluster and cross-sectorial innovative projects.

The eight clusters in Bogotá and Cartagena bring together more than 1000 companies in sectors such as food, textiles, metal-mechanic, petrochemical, among others, and face challenges related to water management, purification, and efficiency and circular economy initiatives.

Moreover, the CWP also participated in the 62nd ACODAL congress with which it has signed an agreement of cooperation and some conferences on innovative technologies in water management by the CWP companies. The participant entities of the CWP were DAM, KEIKEN Engineering, UNEX, PROTECMED, LAVOLA, GLOBAL OMNIUM and the University of Girona.
