Contribute to shaping the development of Advanced Technologies for Industry (ATI)

Submitted by Lucia Seel on 17 December 2019

On behalf of the Advanced Technologies for Industry (ATI) initiative of the European Commission, we are inviting you to contribute to the development of knowledge on strategic value chains of relevance for clusters.

One of the tasks of this project aims at identifying and analysing 15 promising ATI-based products and their value chains, with an assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the EU positioning. This exercise specifically aims to support cluster organisations, providing intelligence on innovation areas where European clusters could team up and invest together.

Promising ATI-based products can be defined as “enabling products for the development of goods and services enhancing their overall commercial and social value; embedded by constituent parts that are based on AR/VR, Big Data & Analytics, Blockchain, Cloud, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Mobility, Robotics, Security & Connectivity, Nanotechnology, Micro-nanoelectronics, Industrial Biotechnology, Advanced Materials and/or Photonics; and, but not limited to, produced by Advanced Manufacturing Technologies”. The analysis of each ATI-based product will result in a detailed analytical report.

As representatives of your industry members, we invite you to submit your interest in a selection of 20 promising ATI-based products (check attached document for more details) that could enhance the capacities of your cluster, and thereby need to be further explored. The rationale behind selecting these ATI-based products is the critical importance to strategic value chains, interest of clusters, direct importance for key European industries, etc.

We would highly appreciate receiving your input by Friday, 27 December 2019. Please select the top 5 ATI-based products, for which an analytical report would be most useful for your members. You may also provide us with your own proposal, in case you would like to cover a product that is not yet on the list. Please use the following link to access the survey and submit your responses: https://s.chkmkt.com/?e=182126&d=e&h=2027DF62A51B119&l=en

For any questions you might have you may also contact directly the contractor in charge of this activity of the ATI project (IDEA Consult), Dr. Els Van de Velde (els.vandevelde [at] ideaconsult.be). We thank you in advance for your input!
