Mentors wanted to support cluster managers in MENA countries

Following the success of THE NEXT SOCIETY's original mentoring programme for clusters, it has been decided to replicate it - with added value.

The Cluster Mentoring Reloaded programme will offer 15 cluster managers from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, and Tunisia the opportunity to benefit from a special one-to-one cluster mentoring programme.

THE NEXT SOCIETY is looking for cluster practitioners, that is, cluster managers or cluster management experts willing to share their knowledge as mentors for the programme.

What is Cluster Mentoring Reloaded?

The Cluster Mentoring Reloaded programme aims to go in depth into cluster management topics and improve the management skills of cluster beneficiaries through the support of an experienced peer. It will multiply their business opportunities, open new channels of inter-clustering collaboration at national and international levels and offer an insight into cluster management strategy abroad.

The topics tackled during the bilateral meetings will also include the implications of the COVID-19 crisis in cluster management, its consequences, and how to bounce back.

Who would be suitable?

Experienced cluster managers or cluster practitioners willing to support a cluster manager embarking in a learning journey who are knowledgeable in cluster strategy, member engagement, financial model, monitoring practices and communication.

What are the benefits for mentors?

  • Reflecting on their own experience and gaining new insight
  • Engaging in a trust-based relationship with a cluster manager from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region
  • Being able to share your knowledge
  • Widening your contact network
  • Economic compensation

The programme includes an average of 45 mentoring hours and will run for 10 months from January until October 2021 with an online format.
