Mission/Objectives of the cluster organisation

EnergyLab is a private technology centre specialised in energy efficiency and sustainability. It is a non-profit private entity set up on 2008 as an initiative of the industry and the Regional Government. EnergyLab identifies, develops and promotes technologies, processes, products and consumption behaviours able to contribute to the improvement of the energy efficiency and sustainability through its applications in industry, domestic products, mobility and buildings. In 2014, EnergyLab was recognised as National Technological Centre by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and it is member of ATIGA (Galician Technological Alliance). The technological aspect of the centre’s activity covers four main areas: - Bioenergy: this area develops projects related to different kind of renewable and alternative energy such as: biogas, biomass, geothermal, wave energy, etc. - Sustainable Mobility: electric mobility, gas mobility, etc. - Efficient Buildings: this area integrates the energy efficiency and renewable… EnergyLab laboratories include high-tech equipment and offer their services to develop R+D+I projects related to the recovery of organic and biomass waste together with new biofuels testing for transport.

*Mobility: EnergyLab has specialised equipment which allows the centre to research on the alternative mobility area. As far as alternative fuels are concerned, there is a test bench to characterise the performance of gas fuels. It includes a dualised diesel cycle motor and an Otto cycle engine with biofuel system. Both of them are completely sensorised and include emissions measuring systems. In addition, there is also a gas mixer which allows to synthesise mixtures composed by up to 5 gases. In terms of electric mobility, the centre owns equipment to characterise the performance of batteries, charge and discharge, deep discharge and determination of capacity. The Technology Centre of Metal-mechanical and Transport (CETEMET) is a non-profit foundation. The centre is managed by a private foundation made up by 20 entities including companies in the metal-mechanical and transport sectors, public bodies, savings banks, universities and business associations. Our mission is to strengthen our role as a technology, smart business and advance infrastructure centre, performing as an accelerator within competitive sectors in the metal-mechanical and transport industries in Andalusia.

CETEMET aims at fostering economic development in Andalusia by means of promoting and improving innovation in companies within the metal-mechanical and transport industries. The centre focuses on promotion and technology development in two core ideas: technology services and R&D&i projects.

The centre has focused on Industry 4.0 for Metal-mechanic and Transport sectors through these 4 technological areas:

Industrial automation. We use computerized and electro-mechanical components … CETEMET possesses a Visual computing lab, Automation and Robotics equipment and software, Metrology lab, Climate tests lab, and design, modelling, programming and FEM software.

The equipment of Visual computing labs comprises 3D scanners, cams, and devices for VR/AR such as glasses, tablets, etc. 

The automation and robotics equipment is composed of PLCs, robots, electronics, artificial vision cams, scanners, etc., and software for programming and simulation

The Metrology lab is composed of a high accuracy 3D laser scanner, torque wrenches calibration unit, dial gauge calibration units, linear, angle and flatness gauge blocks, roundness tester measuring shapes-position and other specialized metrology instruments. 

The Climate testing equipment and facilities comprise climate simulation chamber of large dimensions, climate chambers, thermographic camera and HFM.

Lurederra Foundation for Technical and Social Development (LUREDERRA) is a non-profit, private Technological Centre created in June 1999 by the association of several public authorities, financial organizations, RTD organizations and companies in diverse productive fields, totalling more than 20 independent entities. LUREDERRA performs activities of RTD on behalf of the industries and other economical agents within its sphere of influence, followed by implementation of the innovations developed at their production sites. CENmat is a young and innovative chemical engineering spin-off from the German Aerospace Center (DLR) offering a broad range of services ranging from consultation, contractual research to nanomaterial synthesis, upscale and nanomaterial integration.

CENmat started as a nanomaterial company offering highly specialized and custom-tailored nanomaterials applying a holistic approach to fully understand the needs of our customers to design and synthetize the best fitting nanomaterials for their special product or technology.

The International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) is the first International Intergovernmental Organisation (IGRO) in Europe conducting world-class research and development in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology.
