On the webinar on projects organized by the Packaging Cluster, last Friday 22th of May, 15 proposals for innovation projects were presented available on the new web platform of the cluster, exclusively accessible to its members, and also explained the following calls for public aid for 2020, aimed at promoting projects in the framework of a cluster.

The aim of this webinar was to present a series of resources that could be beneficial for member companies, on the way to developing collaborative projects with a key value in areas such as sustainabilityindustry 4.0., shared valuesmart packaging and strategic change. The more projects that are presented by the cluster and its associates in the next calls, the more chances of success will be and the greater positive impact will be generated in a community that suffers from the effects of the current pandemic.

Mònica RieraProject Manager of the Packaging Cluster, introduced the seminar to explain the operation of the new platform, the existing proposals and the prior access form to the platform, to find out the real situation of each company. In this sense, Mònica Riera has explained the meaning of creating this form, with key questions about what companies are doing in the field of research and innovation, with the possibility of proposing up to 6 project ideas in the form.

On the other hand, Mònica has explained to the interested members each of the projects according to their aspect of action and what stage of development they are in. It has also proposed the already established consortiums to which they can join or the inter-luster collaborations to work in intersectoral fields.

Then, Àlex BrossaCluster Manager of the Packaging Cluster, has presented the annual aids offered by public administrations, both nationally with the AEI (Program of Agrupaciones Empresariales Innovadoras) aids from the Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y Turismo, and at the regional level with the IRC (Iniciatives de Reforç a la Competitivitat) of ACCIÓ, in the Catalonia Clústers program.

For his part, Àlex Brossa has presented examples of projects, the eligible gestures, the order of magnitude and the expected start date for these calls according to the available sources, in a private session for those interested in developing projects through a website that promotes interaction with the environment.

The Cluster Manager has stressed the importance of consistency on the part of the cluster that works actively throughout the year to have collaborative project proposals prepared for the start dates of the calls, because when the dates are announced, there are 3 weeks to prepare all the content to present. It is essential that these projects are built based on the trends that define the strategic lines of action for the coming years, with a strategic sense and after filtering in the previous work.

Finally, the questions that arose during the exhibition and that encouraged the creation of future interesting synergies of member companies were answered. If as a member you want to see the session again, you can access the recording that is available on the private part of the web: recording
