On October 24^th and 25^th 2019, the international conference TexTech took place in Bucharest. The meeting was organized by the national textile research center of Romania, INCDTP.

During the 2-days conference, more than 30 experts from different countries presented their papers, related to the following topics: new functional and smart textiles, eco-efficient technologies to process advanced materials, surface treatments of fibers and fabrics, quality management methodologies and composites, among others.

The second day, in the framework of the conference, the industrial workshop: recent advances in technical textiles was held. In this event, 6 international experts presented their projects related to this topic.

AEI TÈXTILS, the technical textiles’ cluster of Catalonia, presented at the workshop two of the projects it leads. On one hand, Dra. Ariadna Detrell, Cluster Manager of AEI TÈXTILS, introduced the network of experts in advanced textile materials CONTEXT. On the other hand, Ine de Vilder, researcher at CENTEXBEL, as one of its parnters, presented LIFE-FLAREX project.
