Austria delegation visited Taiwan

CNFI has been invited to “Austrian Business Circle” hold by Austrian Commercial Office on September 13th. In this event, Silicon Alps Cluster GmbH along with Austrian company representatives, members of politics, research institutes and Austrian startups have also been invited during their intensive two-day program to visit Taipei and Hsinchu.

During their two days in Taiwan, they have visited many high-tech leading companies, government agencies and institutes including STMicroelectronics TaiwanLite-on Technology CorporationMinistry of Science and Technology(MOST)Institute for Information Industry(III)National Development Council(NDC)Infineon Technologies Taiwan Co.Ltd.Garage Plus Accelerator&Startup PitchTaiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC)LAM Research TaiwanHsinchu Science ParkIndustrial Technology Research Institute(ITRI).

Cluster Managing Director Dr. Günther Lackner mentioned that Silicon Alps is a technology and innovation cluster for electronic based systems in Austria and Taiwan is considered one of Asia's high-tech hubs. Dr. Lackner said he has been to East Asia so many times, including this year in June of the European Innovation week in Taipei. He said this time two days in Taiwan is not enough because there are so many opportunities to explore and he hopes to see potential future cooperation between two sides soon.
