BIOTECYL GETS ONE NEW PROJECT IN THE CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS OF JUNTA DE CASTILLA Y LEÓN

The MAIN OBJECTIVE of the present project proposed by BIOTECYL is to advance in the digital transformation of companies and institutions linked to the Health sector of Castilla y León from the identification of projects aimed at the incorporation of innovative applications and developments related to big data, computing in the cloud, robotics and process control in the sector.

Thus, the project has as its SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

  • Know (prospective) and analyze the potential applicability of enablers such as big data, cloud computing and robotics and process control systems in the Health sector of Castilla y León as well as existing innovative solutions and developments.
  • Identify the needs and challenges of the agents (companies and entities) both from the point of view of management, production processes and data processing and exploitation.
  • Disseminate, communicate and train the companies and agents of the sector in the field of key enabling digital technologies with applicability in the sector and the existing possibilities.
  • Identify a battery of future development projects in the Cluster that facilitate the digital transformation of companies and agents based on the incorporation of solutions linked to the key enablers identified. This project identification will serve as a basis to enhance the participation of BIOTECYL and its partners in regional, national and European R&D programs.
  • Start-up and development of a pilot project aimed at cluster partners to incorporate digital technologies in their organizations, based on the previous identification made.

The expected concrete results are:

  • Identification of technologies, developments and solutions of interest linked to the selected digital enablers (big data, cloud computing, robotics, management and process control).
  • Analysis of the applicability of technologies and developments to the challenges and needs of the Health sector of Castilla y León in terms of digital transformation.
  • Companies, hospitals, universities, research centers in Castilla y León, aware of the applicability and potential of Connected Industry 4.0 in the Health sector.
  • Battery of identified projects and funding sources.
  • Pilot project.

This project has the financial support of the General Directorate of Industry (Ministry of Economy, Junta de Castilla y León) as well as the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
