Within the framework of the collaboration of the regional clusters with the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Junta de Castilla y León in view of the existing need to retain and attract talent in the Region, BIOTECYL organized a Table of 22 March I work with the Cluster partners.

Within the framework of this Working Group, the INFYDE consultancy presented the first results of the benchmarking study carried out to learn about the programs, measures and strategies that have been developed in other Spanish and European regions regarding the retention and / or attraction of qualified human capital. .

Subsequently, a work dynamic was developed to address aspects such as the main reasons for the flight of talent in the regional Health sector; the aspects that are considered by companies, public administrations, universities, hospitals, research centers in order to bet on the attraction and / or return of talent from abroad; the potential improvements that it would be necessary to incorporate into existing mechanisms and incentives at the current regional and national levels; as well as the incentives that would be interesting to develop for the Health sector of Castilla y León and the role of the BIOTECYL cluster in these initiatives.

This Working Group is one of the activities that the BIOTECYL cluster is developing together with conducting in-depth interviews with cluster partners and entities that develop initiatives linked to the retention and / or attraction of talent, entrepreneurship and generation of added value in the regional Health sector. The results of this work will be collected in a report that will also be presented at a conference to all BIOTECYL partners in view of its contrast and subsequent presentation to the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

From the management team and the Board of Directors of the BIOTECYL Cluster, we would like to thank all the participants, both in the Working Group and in the in-depth interviews, for their collaboration and contributions, which we hope will help the Health sector of Castilla y León count on the best professionals both from the business point of view as a teacher, researcher, innovator and assistance.
