The Efficiency Energy Cluster of Catalonia (CEEC) has been in the ‘International Clean Energy Challenge 33 under 33’ organized by OÖ Energiesparverband. The Energy Agency of Upper Austria reunited more than 60 young professionals in the energy transition sector from all over the world.

During the event the participants were split into eleven groups and had a tutor from an energy enterprise or institution who was guiding and supporting them. Also, a challenge from the organization was presented by the same tutor to the teams and after that they stared working on it in order to find a solution.

The CEEC introduced the current energy situation of Catalonia, where the photovoltaic consumption is rising in comparison with the last year, it went from 149 PV platforms (2017) to over 1.000 (2019) installed.

About the Catalan Energy Cluster

The Catalan Energy Cluster (CEEC) is an entity that, through collaboration with companies and associated organizations from areas such as technology, research, institutional, regulatory, industrial, informative and business, has the aim of promoting the field of energy efficiency.

The CEEC is a non-profit business association that comprises those companies which in their activities offer, promote or develop products or services related to energy efficiency in the areas of building, mobility, public services, industry and training.

Unlike associations or sectorial groups, the common link of the CEEC is not the type of product itself nor sharing the same market, but the will of its members to access common goals of increasing the value of their product or service by increasing their energy efficiency and taking advantage of the existing business opportunities around this.
