CONTEXT, led by AEI TÈXTILS, has launched two new calls for grants to promote the participation at international conferences and the exchange of researchers through Short Term Scientific Missions (STSMs).

The first call will be open until October 25. Young researchers can apply, to present a paper or a poster in an international conference on the topic of CONTEXT, advanced textile materials. The second call will close on November 8. Researchers from universities, technology centres or companies can apply to visit an organization form another country with the aim to learn new techniques, gain access to specific data, instruments or methods not available in their own institutions/organisations. Duration of the visits is from 5 to 90 days.

In its first year of activities, CONTEXT has already awarded three persons with a grant to participate to different conferences. 

Nine researchers have also been awarded for STSMs grants in which nine researchers have traveled to institutions in Macedonian Republic, North America, United Kingdom, Croatia, Cyprus, Portugal, Italy and Check Republic to carry out international studies related to textile materials for construction, personal protection, sports, automotive and aeronautics.

The next activities of CONTEXT include a meeting from the working group “Textiles for sports and wearables” in Bursa (Turkey) and a meeting and workshop from the working group “Textiles for the medical use” in the EMPA headquarters in Switzerland.
