Cross4Health 1st Open Call

Cross4Health is a cluster-driven project, funded by the European Commission (Horizon 2020). Active since September 2017, it will last 2.5 years and during this period a total amount of € 3.5 million will be invested directly in SMEs through different mechanisms (Idea Contest, Hackathons, Open Calls, etc.)
Cross4Health’s mission is to foster collaboration and transfer of knowledge and opportunities among European SMEs coming from Aerospace and Energy leveraged on Biotechnology, ICT and Medical Devices sectors.
Cross4Health launched its first public call for proposals on February 15, during the first public event "Cross4Health Ideas Contest" (Toulouse), a unique framework for interaction between SMEs, scientists and end users to promote the necessary inspiration to create teams and project ideas aligned with the challenges of the Open Call.
Cross4Health 1st Open Call is seeking project proposals looking into technology and know-how from the Aerospace, Energy, Biotechnology, ICT, and Medical devices sectors for the generation of innovative solutions for Healthcare.
All applications must address one of the Cross4Health challenges proposed for this 1st Open Call:
- Provide safe remote care
- Optimised care environment of hospitals and other care institutions
- Faster process from sample to result
By applying to the 1st Cross4Health Open Call, you compete to engage the 1st Cross4Health Acceleration Programme, where up to 10 projects (20 SMEs) will be selected to obtain support worth in € 60,000 per SME in combination of direct cash funding and innovation services.
Applications must be submitted electronically through the Cross4Health website before May 16, 2018 at 17:00 (CET).
Projects consortia need to have at least 2 SMEs. Also needs to be cross national and cross sectorial, meaning one of the organisations must come from the Aerospace or Energy sectors, and at least two EU countries have to be involved. For more details download the Guide for Applicants.
The Cross4Health Acceleration Programme is a 9-month non-residential period where the selected projects will receive monetary and non-monetary support, distributed as follows:
- Up to € 25.000 in direct cash funding per SME
- Up to € 30.000 in Innovation Services per SME
