The delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in University of Gdańsk 23 April 2019/

University of Gdansk hosted a delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia: Ambassador Mrs. H.E Siti Nugraha Mauludiah, Minister Counsellor Mr. Rudy Kurniady, Mr. Mirza Satoto from Social & Culture Division and Mrs. Monika Barzyc-Denisiewicz from Department of Economy, Trade and Investment. It was the first time Mrs. Ambassador has visited Gdansk since taking office. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the possibilities of future academic cooperation between UG and Indonesian universities, as the Indonesian government has founded the scholarship program to give the best Indonesian students possibility to study abroad.

During the meeting Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation prof. dr. hab. Piotr Stepnowski  portrayed UG’s educational offer for foreign students. The diplomats were impressed with the modern campus, its location nearby the sea as well as the university’s educational offer. They expressed interest to recommend UG offer as suitable for Indonesian students, especially its maritime subjects area. The diplomats mentioned about the preparation of cooperation between Polish and Indonesian government, will be an additional facilitation and support in students exchange programs.
