On February 2^nd, 2020, a delegation of 16 agrifood experts of universities and companies from the state Kentucky visited the Foodvalley office in Wageningen. During their visit the delegation got a clearer understanding of the Foodvalley ecosystem, start-up support and international collaborations. This interactive pitch event also included time for 4 pitches of European AgTech companies to explain more about smart & digital technologies in horticulture and agriculture. For both the European start-ups as well as the delegation from the USA the pitch session was very valuable and a great way to get new insights in European innovations and the USA ecosystem developments.

The USA is one of the target countries in the NF4 project that was visited in March 2019. NF4 continues to build relationships with markets outside Europe as these activities and contacts can help support European SMEs to explore and enter the US market.
