DIGI-B-CUBE Task Force Meeting in Frankfurt

Submitted by Sergio Saez on 21 August 2019

On 2 August 2019, we met some of our H2020 DIGI-B-CUBE partners in Frankfurt for an internal Task Force Meeting. Our mission is to boost the innovation potential of SMEs from the health sector in Europe.

The European INNOSUP Project DIGI-B-CUBE aims to establish a cross-border and cross-sectoral ecosystem that combines digital innovations from the IT sector with three key important industries (Bioimaging, Biosensing and Biobanking) within the health sector.

DIGI-B-CUBE will facilitate the identification of artificial intelligence and cognitive computing digital technologies which can be applied by the Bioimaging, Biosensing and Biobanking industries. The project will provide innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in the EU and associated countries with access to vouchers of up to €60,000, to develop prototypes and customised solutions for the health sector. The voucher scheme open call and online matchmaking portal will be launched in April 2020, but SMEs can start engaging in the project activities in the coming months by joining the project´s sectoral and cross-sectoral workshops, as well as, matchmaking sessions. Through the DIGI-B-CUBE website, companies will also be able to interact with the consortium, identify potential partner SMEs, access digital services and contribute for the elaboration of an action plan that suits their needs.

In preperation of the upcoming sectoral workshops, that will be organized in Spain and Germany in October 2019 followed by Austria and Norway in November 2019, we met our consortium partners from the Oslo Cancer Cluster and Ci3 to discuss the concept of the sectoral workshops.
