Dissemination of ELBE in the most relevant event of ocean energy in the world
ELBE was present in the last ICOE-SEANERGY 2018 event celebrated in Cherbourg (France) from the 12th to the 14th of June. The 7th international conference on ocean energy (ICOE), the prestigious international event focused on the industrial development of ocean energy, is supported by the international energy agency (IEA) through ocean energy systems (OES). Besides, this year the event was organised in collaboration with Bluesign, organizer of Seanergy, the biggest event in France related to the ocean energies.
The Basque Energy Cluster was present with a stand at ICOE 2018, accompanied by another 7 companies from the Basque Country, to show the capabilities of the Basque industry in the emerging sector of the ocean energies, specifically wave energy.
The Basque Energy Cluster also represented there the ELBE consortium and the wider and stronger capabilities that the partnership can bring together to tackle in the future potential markets beyond Europe, like Canada, which was present at ICOE with a stand next to the Basque Energy Cluster's stand. This international event was very useful to made first contacts with entities representing interesting countries for ELBE project and promote the consortium and the future networking workshops that will be organised in the second half of the project in Scotland, Belgium and Sweden.
