EACP-ABROAD project partners continue their worldwide efforts to expand their network, with a special focus on the Middle-East!

Following the guidelines of the EACP-ABROAD project the Eskisehir Chamber of Industry in Turkey, Aerospace Valley in France, and the Hamburg Aviation Cluster conducted a “fact-finding” mission to the United Arab Emirates on December 5-8, 2016.

The visit to the UAE aimed at identifying relevant local partners that can support future business missions and to lay a sustainable foundation of a long-lasting collaboration with this target region. The aim was to build trust at the institutional level, exchange on possible common activities, and understand the potential value chain segments with business potential for European cluster SMEs.

This four-day mission was the occasion to visit and meet local organizations related to the aeronautical sector, and almost all of them took this opportunity to show their know-how, such as: :

  • Dubai South
  • Mubadala – Nibras Al Ain Aerospace Park
  • Strata Company
  • Emirates Engineering Center
  • TECOM Group
  • MEBAA Show

The delegation was received positively by local counterparts who showed a great interest for collaborating with EACP-ABROAD for future activities. Governmental organizations such as Mubadala are managing special projects for the industry, focusing on the development of the production capacity. This dynamic creates a strong potential to build bridges for future cooperation with SMEs from EACP-ABROAD clusters.

The next step for EACP-ABROAD in the Middle East will be to bring SMEs to participate in a trade mission planned for November 2017, during the Dubai Airshow.

Join us and take part in this great opportunity for future collaboration with the Middle East!
