Environmental risk assessments are a procedure that helps to eliminate or decrease environmental risks. These environmental risks are understood as any possibility of damage or catastrophe to the environment due to a natural phenomenon or human action. Likewise, an environmental risk represents a type within the field of risks and involves threats and vulnerabilities.
