The environmental baseline is defined as the description of the current situation, before the development of any activity, without the influence of new anthropological interventions. As in any productive activity, the new energy industry can generate negative environmental impacts if it is not carried out according to the guidelines legal and technical aspects that govern the activity. One of the instruments used to help in the sustainable use, that also, allow to preserve environmental integrity is the Environmental Baseline that is defined as the description of the current situation, prior to development of an activity, without influence of new anthropic interventions.
