GIVE partners on the The Fourth China-CEEC Conference on Innovation Cooperation in Belgrade

The Fourth China-CEEC (17+1) Conference on Innovation Cooperation, hosted by the Republic of Serbia, held on October 8-9, 2019, in Hall 4 of the Belgrade Fair.

The two-day Ministerial Conference on Innovation brought together the most relevant representatives of innovation ecosystems from the PRC and 17 countries of Central and Eastern Europe and was attended, for the first time in this format, by the Minister of Science and Technology of PRC, Mr. Wang Zhigang, alongside with participation of a large number of ministers and government officials from Central and Eastern Europe.

The Belgrade Declaration was adopted at the Conference, setting a common vision for developing countries based on innovation through the China-CEEC 17 + 1 Mechanism.

At the same time, an economic Conference was held, with participation of more than 200 companies, universities, institutions and investment funds from the PR China and CEEC countries which presented the latest developments in the fields of innovation, digitization, artificial intelligence, robotics, mobility, smart cities, agriculture, finance and other areas.

The participants of the conference were able to see, for the first time in Serbia, the capacities of application of 5G technologies through its activation in the space of Hall 4 of the Belgrade Fair, as well as to test the simulator of high-speed train movement in different weather conditions.

The conference was an excellent opportunity for continuation of the GIVE efforts to prepare for the implementation of the GIVE Internationalization Strategy, the document developed through the first phase of GIVE project including steps for entering China, Taiwan and Egypt markets.
