Good Practices – Business and Science – B2B meeting at the Port of Gdansk

Good Practices – Business and Science – is the subject of a B2B meeting at the Port of Gdansk, which was attended by members of the Baltic Sea and Space Cluster as well as the Intelligent Specialization of Pomerania Offshore and Port-Logistics Technologies and schools of the maritime industry. The meeting was led by Jowita Zielinkiewicz, Chairman of the ISP1 Council and Marek Grzybowski, President of the BSSC Board.

During the meeting, members of the Baltic Maritime and Space Cluster presented their activities for the transfer of knowledge between science and business. The activities of the Port of Gdansk were presented by Filip Ręczmin, and the projects of the Port of Gdynia were discussed by Marta Ostoja-Starzewska. The implementation of hydrotechnical and industrial projects for the cluster members was presented by Krzysztof Postoła, General Designer from Projmors. Tomasz Lisiecki discussed the activities of the Center of New Competences as part of the Maritime Incubator. This is an example of cooperation between an educational company and business.

The goals and assumptions of the joint project of the Maritime University and the Port of Gdansk were presented by prof. Ireneusz Czarnowski, Vice-Rector for Science, Gdynia Maritime University.  Project implemented under the “PORT DIRECTION – SEA OF POSSIBILITIES” grant. The SCOTT R&D project was presented by dr Łukasz Kulas from the Faculty of Computer Science of the Gdańsk University of Technology. Information about the activities of their companies and the possibilities of implementing joint projects were presented by members of the BSSC Cluster, Sławomir Nasiadka from Sevenet, Maciej Lang from Echogram, prof. Andrzej Stateczny from Marine Technology. The meeting ended with B2B talks on joint activities and projects.
