Between the 5th to 9th March 2018, IDEEO’s leading partner EARSC organised a Trade Mission to Australia, traveling with seven European companies (AIRBUS, e-geos, Earth-i, Geospatial Enabling Technologies, GMV, Planet, and Sinergise).

Since Australia is one of IDEEO’s targeted countries the goal of the mission was to investigate this new market, in order to form partnerships focused around EO Services and facilitate the connecting between companies and customers.

In order to do so, companies participated in an extensive program of networking events, briefings and field visits.

EARSC also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Cooperative Research Centre for Spatial Information (CRCSI). IDEEO’s work was discussed as being part of the MoU collaboration exchanges between Australia and the European Union.

Thanks to this mission, IDEEO was able to start gathering curial information to better promote internationally the use of European Earth Observation capability in different sectors.
