IMPACT Connected Car launches its final call to distribute up to €60k equity-free

The open call targets innovative startups and SMEs linked to mobility and the automotive sector

IMPACT Accelerator has recently launched the second and final open call for IMPACT Connected Car, a disruptive mobility programme led by FundingBox and ISDI. The current call is open until 18th October and seeks applications from innovative startups and SMEs that are linked to mobility and the automotive sector. The launch of the open call coincides with London Tech Week, during which several startups previously selected for acceleration in the first batch of the programme will pitch their companies at the flagship event of connected innovation.

With a fund of €2.1 million, IMPACT Connected Car helps SMEs and startups create new value chains in the mobility sector through connected cars, infrastructures and devices. Wireless chargers, anti-hacker security, smart driving and 0% emission transport are some of the verticals this initiative is focussed on.

ACCELERATION, MENTORING AND INTERNATIONALIZATION

Companies selected for the programme will receive up to €60,000 equity-free and training from an international network composed of experts in different areas both in the digital sector and the automotive industry. During the process, companies will also have business support led by digital business school ISDI and mentoring from recognised mentors in the field, including leading experts from Google, Volkswagen, PSA Group, and more.

The startups and SMEs selected will be able to participate in top international events organised by 4YFN and Mobile World Capital Barcelona. They will also have support and guidance from industry leaders such as the Federation Internationale de l’AutomobileFerrovial Servicios and PSA Peugeot Citröen, as well as from key public clusters and investigation centres including PARP and the 5 hubs of connected car: CTAGMov’eoINSEROLPNT and Autoklastr. The FIWARE Foundation will enable technical support and access to global services and smart applications.

IMPACT Connected Car will organise info sessions and workshops across Europe throughout the open call. Interested startups can attend an info event to learn more about the programme and about the application process itself.

IMPACT Connected Car is funded by the European Commission under the INNOSUP Initiative. It builds on the legacy and expertise of IMPACT Accelerator, which invested over €7 million in 77 startups from 2014 to 2017. IMPACT has recently been named Gust’s Global Accelerator Report among the top ten accelerators in the world from among 579 programmes from five continents, and has been selected as the number two seed accelerator in the European Accelerator Report.
