Innovation Day Energia showed, one more year, that efficient energy management consolidates as a sector with high innovation potential in Spain. This event was held on October the 8th, 2020, and is co-organized between the Cluster of Efficient Energy in Catalonia (CEEC) and two ecosystems that are led by IREC: the RIS3CAT Energy Community and the Energy for Society R+D+i Network (XRE4S).

Innovation Day Energia highlights the increasing demand of measures devoted to improve energy efficiency in the productive sector, in buildings, utilities and agrofood sector. More than 100 participants have attended the event, representing organizations from multiple activity sectors.

More than 10 companies have presented their challenges related to energy, while research and technological centres, and start-ups, have exposed their solutions to the specific challenge.

This event is determined to bridge the gap between research-based activities and the demand for innovative solutions by the companies, and will continue in the future to foster innovation in the efficient energy sector in Catalonia.
