Introducing Block.IS to Europe in May!

Block.IS is a new acceleration programme that aims to build an open and collaborative cross-border, cross-sectoral innovation ecosystem that fosters the use of blockchain technology in three vital sectors for the European economy: agrifood, logistics and finance. Block.IS accelerator will support SMEs and start-ups from the ICT sector all the way from ideation to commercialisation offering them tailored business and technical support as well as direct funding.
International Agriculture Fair, Novi Sad (Serbia)

The International Agricultural Fair is the largest fair event in Serbia and one of the largest in Europe in the field of agriculture. It gathers the most significant companies in agro-industry, agricultural production, machinery, and the best in animal farming. It is an unavoidable place for agricultural producers and professional audience to which agriculture makes the focus of interest and a prestigious site for agribusiness presentation and development. During the Fair, VOICT had a presentation of Block.IS with the aim to attract the attention of regional clusters/associations and their involvement in the Project activities, such as cluster missions and information dissemination to SMEs in their local networks.
EEN TG Clusters Annual Meeting 2019, Bucharest (Romania)

European Cluster Conference took place in the Romanian capital and it brought together 400 cluster policy-makers, cluster managers, practitioners and other stakeholders. The event was organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs together with Romania, under the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
The conference featured high-level policy discussions, inspiring speeches and practical good practice examples about recent and future priorities for cluster policies and developments to support sustainable industrial modernisation and interregional cooperation. Block.IS Project was at the event and delivered a presentation at the workshop in front of Enterprise Europe Network members. The main goal was to present the opportunity for EEN members involved in cluster collaboration and to propose to their cluster and SME clients to get involved in Block.IS Cluster Missions and Open Calls.
Interreg DA-SPACE project Consortium Meeting in Ulm, Germany,

As a project partner in the Danube Transnational Programme, VOICT had an opportunity to present Block.IS project to other stakeholders during the Consortium Meeting in Ulm. During two bilateral and one multilateral meeting, VOICT presented the Block.IS concept to cluster representatives from Bulgaria, Romania and Germany and also to a university professor from Slovakia and to representatives of a regional development agency and one university from Croatia.
Digital Day of the University of Applied Sciences Landshut, Dingolfing (Germany)

The Digital Day provides direct access to current approaches and strategies of digitization, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises from trade, industry and commerce where concrete application scenarios and reports on the practical experience of business colleagues offer tangible added value. As a joint event of several relevant associations, it represents a central platform for digitization issues in Lower Bavaria. At the booth of IT-Logistics Cluster at the exhibition of the event, visitors could get informed about the activities of the cluster, including the Block.IS project.
Meeting with the President of Blockchain Hungary Association, Budapest (Hungary)

Blockchain Hungary Association was established with an aim to build the Hungarian blockchain community and to promote and support the use of the technology behind blockchain, as well as to promote it to market, public administration and the general public. VOICT and InoSens have presented the Block.IS concept to the President of Blockchain Hungary Association and jointly agreed on mutual collaboration between organizations.
INNOSUP-01-2018 / Kick-off Meeting in Brussels (Belgium)

INNOSUP-01-2018 has a specific challenge to develop new cross-sectoral industrial value chains across the EU, by building upon the innovation potential of SMEs, as the EU needs to support the development of emerging industries, which will provide the growth and employment of the future. During the workshop in the Belgian capital, the Project Coordinator delivered a presentation of Block.IS towards EC and other INNOSUP projects.
Bavarian Innovation Congress, Regensburg (Germany)

Bavarian IT-Innovation Congress, which took place in Regensburg, gathered 22 exhibitors who informed about their innovations, products and services within a trade fair for the first time. The exhibition accompanying the Congress provided the opportunity for cross-industry exchange of ideas and contacts. During an interesting pitching session, IT-Logistics Cluster presented Block.IS to draw awareness to the project as well as to find relevant stakeholders within the audience.
PRACTYCE V EYE project partner meeting, Valencia (Spain)

Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is a cross-border exchange programme which gives new or aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to learn from experienced entrepreneurs running small businesses. During the EYE meeting in Valencia, a presentation about Block.IS was delivered to PRACTYCE V EYE project partners.
