MobiGoIn-Action partner Media Evolution went to USA and met MobiGoIn Strategic Partner Capital Factory

On March 13th, Media Evolution's Fanny Ericsson (Project ­& Business Coordinator), Pernilla Lavesson (Community Manager) and Magnus Thure Nilsson (CEO) were hosted by Sean Duffy and Chris Gillan from Capital Factory, a technology incubator and co-­working space, in Austin, Texas.

Capital Factory has more than 140 partners and mentors who invest in companies that participate in the incubator. Capital Factory collaborates with companies, nonprofits, and government agencies to offer programs that promote startup formation and support services. They host around 1400 tech-­focused events each year, to over 100,000 particpitants. 

Capital Factory & Daimler have come together to create Mobility X: the center of gravity for innovation in mobility services and technologies. MobilityX is a transportation technology accelerator aimed at fostering the growth of new Mobility-­as-­a-Service companies and bringing innovative solutions to the transportation sector. It brings together industry experts, tech startups, thought-­leaders, and other innovators who are working to improve the mobility ecosystem. Through meetup events, hackathons, startup competitions, and think tanks, MobilityX is the hub that connects the dots on the map of all things in the mobility world. They are looking to engage with startups who are working on mobility related services including the use of emerging technologies such as machine learning, AI, VR, AR and blockchain technology.

Updates on the collaboration: MobilityX was interested in continue developing the collaboration with MobiGoIn-Action in 2019. Capital Factory will send information to Fanny about what areas the companies in the US seek to improve, as well as information about which companies they would like to be introduced to in Europe. Media Evolution will have a continued conversation with Sean and Chris to see what we can implement together within the project.
