MetaIndustry4 participates in "AttTrak: Employer empowerment to attract, transfer and keep young people in metal industries” workshop in Lithuania

Last month, from Monday 21st to Friday 25th of october, it took place in Lithuania, the first transnational workshop for the european project “AttTrack: Employer empowerment to attract, transfer and keep Young people in metal industries”. MetaIndustry4 is one of the participants along with other organizations from Germany, Poland, Lithuania and Italy.

This time the meeting took place in the Lithuanians cities of Alytus, Kaunas, Druskininkai and Vilnius, hosted by the local partner Alytus Business Advisory Center, Ecoindustry LT Cluster’s headquarter. The gathering had an intense schedule of activities with master classes given by international experts, meetings with enterprises, professional training centers and Universities, where visitors were taught, from different ways of view, methodologies and ideas to attract and keep younf people in metal industries.

First sesion was focus on deeply learning about professional training by apprenticeship. With that porpouse, we were able to know more about the expert view of Christine Schmidt, IBBF (Institute for Occupational Education Research) Director.

Second one was discussing about the cooperation between companies and professional training centers, and we count with Vidmantas Tutlys’s collaboration for that. He is a proffesor, member of the European VETNET Networl and Professional Training and Researching Center of Vytaustas’s Director.

Maria Goitía, the director of the Professional Training Center La Laboral, presented in front of Alytus College representatives and the rest of the participants, training methodologies in professional training centers, showing as a success case of the methodology base on challenges, used in Gijon’s training center.

Marketing and finincing lines search link with training, were discuss on the next to last day of the meeting. Lithuans experts displayed the iniciative EPALE EU Adult Learning Platform and its strengths to empower the training in adults inside the european setting.

  

Finally, Mark Casisdsid, cientific analyst from WMF presented the World Manufacturig  Forum 2019 inform, about the competences for the future industries. That happened in the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University.

Next meeting will take place in Asturias, on the first semester of the following year. Then, there will be week full of activities, with the porpouse of discussing different perspectives for professional training’ future and its connection with industry.

AttTrack is a project financed by the Erasmus+ program, which main goal is the exchange of experiences between participants members, about the way to attrackt young people into the metal sector and follow its training itineray and professional career develop into the sector. To achieve that, the project look for the way of creating an atractive image of the sector, transfer best practices of the organizations involved, and, at the same time, keep a current training orientation, because of the continuous changes of the sector. Young people usually don’t understand that, nowadays, a mechanic has to be able to develop complex tasks and operate in several digital systems.

The committe, lead by Vereinigung für Betriebliche Bildungsforschung e.V. IBBF from Germany, along with MetaIndustry4, participates in the Metal Proccessing Cluster across the Polish Innovation and Development Promotion Center, Alytus Business Advisory Center, from Lithuania and Reindustria-Agenzia Cremona Sviluppo S.Cons.r.l, from Italy, who will keep on working all together in the action plan already proposed, waiting for the next meeting.
