Natureef at LOW CARBON MX

The FEMAC, on behalf of NATUREEF  participated in the first meeting organized by the Low Carbon Mexico, in San Luis Potosi on 8 and 9 June, with the aim of exploring business opportunities in the field on Natural Resoruces Technologies  and the sector low Carbon emissions. Its Cluster Manager Enric Pedrós, met with Mexican companies pig and bovine livestock sector, interested in companies that specialize in designing biodigestors for generating heat and power from waste organic farming.Members of Natureef consortium will participate in the event in October 2016, celebrated in Mexico DF. 

LOW CARBON is funded by the European Union (EU) which aims to contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions in Mexico. The project aims to provide business opportunities for both the European Union and Mexico in three specific sectors:

  • Energy efficiency: the construction industry
  • Waste management
  • Management of Wastewater

Can be considered, in addition to other sectors of interest to the Mexican industry, especially in terms of decarbonisation of electricity generation The project will last two years, a test pilot for four projects that will have as objective Netherlands, Peru, Colombia and Brazil. The project is divided into three phases:

  • Meetings between business and clusters
  • Signing of agreements of co-operation
  • Implementation Projects
