Personalized medicine is contineously accelerating with the convergence of digital health technologies. This past trend is gaining in intensity to become a key driver for advancing the future of biopharma/biotech and healthcare.

Within PERMIDES (Personalized Enterprise Innovation through Digital Enterprise Solutions - Horizon 2020 EU) project, biotech and ICT clusters joined together to address specific challenges for SMEs to go digital with a precision medicine product or service in the biopharma space. PERMIDES comes in here to help them better understand which partners and competences are out there, and to express their needs clearly, despite lacking IT expertise. Biopharma SMEs can formulate their needs, can run a systematic search find potential IT partners, and get funding for developing solutions through the PERMIDES matchmaking platform.

119 grant applications have been submitted for innovation projects, of which 51 are funded for a total of € 2.65 M, in addition to the 41 consultancy vouchers with a total funding volume of 261,000 Euros. Even though the funding support of PERMIDES is finished, collaboration among (new) partners is still possible also through the newly published PERMIDES project database.
