After the assessment held on the 14th  and 15th of February 2017 by the ESCA (European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis) experts, on the 26th of April 2017 the PRO WOOD Regional Wood Cluster located in Sfântu Gheorghe, Romania was officially awarded with the SILVER Label, being the 10th silver labeled cluster in Romania.

The PRO WOOD Regional Wood Cluster was founded in April 2010. It was the first innovative cluster in the wood processing and furniture sector in Romania. Its generation, methodology has become a national model and has been disseminated as best practice in several national and international projects. Today, it has over than 50 members, from which almost 40 are SME’s and bigger companies, covering the following fields of activity: wood harvesting & processing; wooden houses and other constructions; production of doors, windows, stairs, balusters; manufacturing of solid wood furniture; production of different wooden accessories.
