White Paper on eHealth

Submitted by Guillaume Roux on 28 November 2016

As part of its 2013-2018 strategic plan, the SCS Cluster has organized its strategy and its actions in line with three Smart Specialization Areas (SSAs): Contactless; Networks, Mobile Services and M2M; Security & Digital Identities. A white paper has been published for each SSA. Carried out in 2013, this work has allowed us, among other things, to define and target technology/high potential use pairings for the development of the three SSAs. In the follow-up to these white papers established for each of the Cluster's SSAs, the SCS Cluster sought to further its approach by adopting a sector-based strategy. Work conducted on each SSA served to identify a number of key markets concerned by all of the technologies in which the Cluster's members are proficient. Since eHealth represents one of the priority markets for each SSA, this is the first "market" white paper to be published by the Cluster. It is the result of a detailed investigation into key uses and needs, and highlights the adequacy of the technological solutions offered by the Cluster's members in relation to the functional needs of the market's leading players. This white paper allows us to assert our positioning in this market, and to underscore the Cluster's strengths in certain key areas of eHealth. It serves to create a natural bridge between the needs of client companies on the one hand, and the key skills of the Cluster's technology providers on the other.
