The ‘Women in Power’ project celebrates its second transnational meeting

On May 31st Bucharest (Romania) a transnational meeting for the project ‘Women in Power’, in which seven partners from Spain, Malta, Romania, the United Kingdom and Lithuania participate. Funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus + call, ‘Women in Power’ aims to reduce the professional gap between men and women in executive positions.

This meeting is the second of the five planned within this project and, with it, the consortium will define the methodology and content of the training course that will be developed to train women from traditional sectors with the aim of acquiring knowledge and skills that are useful to promote whithin their companies and reduce the current gender gap in these sectors.

After a previous study needs and deficiencies detected, a course and a methodology adapted to these women will be designed. The didactic and training content of the course aimed at empowering women in the furniture, footwear and textile sectors will be offered free of charge through an online platform.

The European Commission has granted aid of 299,160 euros, through the Erasmus + call for Strategic partnerships in the field of education and training. The project will be developed during the next two years.
