Description

The si-Cluster organises the Space Innovation Contest "ActInSpace" in Athens and Patras simultaneously, on 20-21 May 2016. ActInSpace brings together entrepreneurs, students, job seekers, developers, creative users over a weekend. The goal is to form teams and resolve one of the challenges proposed by the organizers. The challenges consist in finding every day uses for space developped technologies or space acquired data.

The si-Cluster is one of the 30 local organisers of the ActInSpace contest. The winning teams will proceed to the International final, which will take place in Toulouse on 29th of June, and the "big winner"will travel to Kourou, Guyana to assist at a rocket launch. All the realistic projects will receive support via the ESA BIC and partners incubators to foster the emergence of new startups.

ActInSpace is a contest organized by European Space Agency, Centre national d'études spatiales (CNES), ESA BIC Sud France and Airbus & Novespace, as international sponsors.
