The Castilla y León Health Cluster, BIOTECYL, has held its General Assembly this week. Led by its President, Pilar Armero Martínez-representative of the company INNOVAGENOMICS, the organization has presented for approval the annual report and accounts for the year 2017 before the companies and entities attending. Those present have also approved the Action Plan for the current year, and 2 positions of the Board of Directors have been renewed.
Then, the Cluster organized the I DAY OF OPEN DOORS, in which almost fifty entities of the sector participated. This conference was intended to be a meeting point for the different companies that make up the Health sector in Castilla y León, and aimed to present the Cluster's partners, and the projects and activities that are being carried out, as well as the different possibilities of collaboration.
The president of BIOTECYL welcomed the attendees and presented the conference, and then the report of activities of the Cluster in 2017 and the advance of the forecasts for 2018 was announced. Afterwards, 4 working groups were organized, related to the most important projects that we have in progress at present:
1) INNOLABS AND CROSS4HEALTH PROJECTS: financing opportunities for SMEs in the BIO, ICT, AEROSPACE and ENERGY sectors. These 2 projects aim to promote collaboration, knowledge transfer and opportunities among SMEs from different countries and sectors in order to develop, improve and offer disruptive technologies related mainly to personalized health care. 2) COOPER PROJECT: development of a collaborative platform, which serves for the multidisciplinary approach of rare diseases that facilitate early diagnosis, guarantee quality health care, improve communication and provide knowledge in the field of research, in the Castilla y León region.
3) MASTER HEALTH PROJECT: development of an own postgraduate degree promoted by the Cluster and its companies.
4) INDUSTRY 4.0 PROJECT: projects that promote the digital transformation of the industrial companies of our Cluster, that support the incorporation of knowledge, technologies and innovations aimed at the digitalization of processes and the creation of technologically advanced products and services of greater value added in the industrial companies.
At the end of the meeting there was a networking lunch.
