On the 9th of June, New Frontiers in Food (NF4) will be participating in the International FoodTech Forum in Brazil organized by FoodTech Hub. The International FoodTech Forum focusses on the main challenges faced by the global food and beverage community, discussing how technology and innovation can help to build a food system in a sustainable, efficient, healthy and inclusive way. Three innovation topics in agrifood will be the main focus of this years Forum: Protein, Food Safety and Food Waste. The program includes inspiring speakers showing the latest insights into future food systems, 1-on-1 matchmaking and exhibitors area. In addition, the finals of the FoodTech Global Challenge will take place during the International FoodTech Forum where startups from all over the world, including European startups, will present their innovation to an audience of international food companies, food experts and investors.

Last November, the NF4 consortium visited Brazil as this is one of the target countries of NF4. A group of 11 European SMEs participated in the innovation tour to explore the Brazilian Food & Beverage market. Part of the program was an introduction to FoodTech Hub Brazil, who provided the SMEs with valuable knowledge, insights and support of the Brazilian market. Following the NF4 Innovation Tour, the collaboration between NF4 and FoodTech Hub Brazil was formalized by a Memorandum of Understanding, establishing an agreement to develop a partnership strategy and build deeper relationships between European and Brazilian SMEs.
