Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) -such as nanotechnology or biotechnology- are advanced technologies that allow industries in all sectors to retain and grow competitiveness and capitalise on new markets.

For 30 months, 7 European organizations (INL from Portugal, inno TSD from France, CEBR from Belgium, Swednanotech from Sweden, DPS Valley from Netherlands, Silicon Saxony from Germany and NIA from UK & Belgium) have been working in the ClusterNanoRoad Project with the aim of promoting and stimulating the adoption of KETs in European companies from sectors as diverse as food production, packaging, medical devices, manufacturing and energy production.

ClusterNanoRoad  has reviewed, mapped and analysed information and good practices on current and historical coordination actions throughout Europe. The consortium also developed some pilot actions to help the different clusters and agents to identify the KETs and to integrate them into their own smart specialization strategies. In order to grab some feedback from the participation of the main clusters, organizations, agents and European institutions linked to nanotechnology-  a serie of validation workshop took place. It allowed to go in-depth on the possible forms of collaboration for the present and future promotion of the KETs.

All this work has allowed to elaborate a roadmap which, at the same time, collects the conclusions of the entire project, and is key to its future, as it is a live document, available online, and enabling new ideas, initiatives and practices to be added.

We invite you to join us on February 28, at 1PM, in a free webinar where you can discover:

  • The main conclusions reached by the ClusterNanoRoad after 2.5 years of work and research on the implementation of KETs in Europe.
  • Effective and validated policies, actions and support tools
  • A roadmap developed to help European regions to adopt KETs, supported by a cluster approach
The webinar is designed to be a practical discussion on concrete support mechanisms for regions wishing to implement KETs. We invite you to participate actively in the debate and to contribute ideas for future actions in this field.   You can register for the FREE WEBINAR Here:
