EU gold for Denmark's only defence cluster
CenSec, Denmark's only cluster network for companies in the defence industry, has been certified for gold within the European Cluster Excellence system. Gold is the highest recognition a European cluster can achieve.
CenSec - Center for Defense, Space & Security - has gained a place among the European ‘cluster royalty’. CenSec has been awarded the prestigious gold label following a comprehensive certification process. CenSec has 144 member companies spread across Denmark and in very different areas of work, such as advanced production, electronics and software development as well as classified products and services. The list of members also include leading Danish universities and other knowledge institutions in the field.
CenSec's primary mission is to help small and medium-sized businesses and knowledge institutions in the defence, space and security industries improve market knowledge, skills and networks, thus enabling them to gain business and innovate.
In addition, CenSec runs the Innovation Network for Security, Inno-Sec, where six innovation projects are currently underway.
Klaus Bolving, CEO of CenSec welcomes the good result: "The gold certification is a quality stamp of our work, and a proof that our team efforts and our systematic and methodological work create results for our member companies, which is what we are here for."
