At the occasion of the NutrEvent (a yearly health and nutrition fair), the Valorial team hosted a Welsh delegation at the beginning of October in Nantes and St-Nazaire (France). Over 4 days, the foreign delegation was able to take part in a number of activities organised by Valorial and key players of the ecosytem. Here is a look back at the programme that was tailor-made for them.

It all started on Monday 3rd October, with the workshop on setting up European projects. During this workshop, the delegation was able to discover the Horizon Europe programme and the specific themes of the next calls for projects in nutrition and health. The end of the afternoon was concluded by a cocktail hosted at Le Palace, a must-seen space dedicated to support start-ups.

On 4th and 5th of October, NutrEvent took place, a business convention on the themes of innovation and nutrition in food and feed. These two days gave the delegation the opportunity to participate in B2B meetings and to attend a series of conferences around health and personalised nutrition.

Finally, the programme ended on Thursday 6th with a visit at Algosouce in Guérande and Algosolis in St-Nazaire, both operating within R&D that meets the challenges of industrial exploitation of microalgae.
