OECD - ComNews. FINAL
Do you have opinions on the current OECD Guidelines for MNEs and their implementation procedures?

The OECD is seeking feedback now until 10 February from interested stakeholders on a consultation draft of potential updates to their guidelines. Interested stakeholders from all countries are welcome to participate in this public consultation. This includes businesses, industry groups, civil society organisations, trade unions, academia, interested citizens, international organisations, and governmental experts (including non-Adherent countries). The OECD Guidelines were last revised in 2011, so this targeted update aims to advance their uptake and promotion while also ensuring they remain fit for purpose.

The OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises are government recommendations for businesses that set out how to ensure responsible conduct in areas where businesses interact with society. These include areas such as human rights, labour rights, the environment, bribery, consumer interests, disclosure, science & technology, competition, and taxation. The guidelines are accompanied by Implementation Procedures that define the role of the National Contact Points for Responsible Business Conduct.

Make your voice heard by adding your comments to the consultation draft on the updated OECD Guidelines for MNEs and their implementation procedures.

The public consultation is available here until 10 February 2023
