GALATEA is a Horizon 2020 project which aims to support SMEs in Blue Growth. 

The project focuses on four areas: 

• Smart Ships 

• Smart Ports 

• Smart Shipyards  

• Maritime Surveillance 

Three key horizontal dimensions for these four domains are also taken into account, including digital transition, ecological transition and Circular Economy. 

The objectives of the project are to: 

• Improve production processes and reduce raw material consumption 

• Enhance the development of new value chains in the targeted four Blue Growth areas 

• Support the development of large-scale demonstrators 

• Provide innovation support through vouchers, services and other support mechanisms to SMEs 

• Offer SMEs the opportunity to extend their markets worldwide 

The coaching services operated by GALATEA partners aim to facilitate and support SMEs to carry out their innovation and scale-up activities.  

SMEs can apply to the Services call individually to get support on: 

• Business model elaboration 

• Technology expertise 

• Internationalisation 

• Funding Opportunities 

Who can participate? 

• Innovative SMEs from the maritime (port, ship, shipyard, maritime surveillance), ICT, aerospatial, aeronautic sectors wishing to submit proposals related to Blue Growth. 

• Members of one of the GALATEA consortium clusters or established or with a branch office in the GALATEA territorial scope (France; Greece; Poland; Romania and Spain).
